For aluminum extrusion presses, process-reliable and cost-effective production of high-quality profiles is a major challenge for toolmaking and extrusion companies. We divide the geometrical, technological and material parameters with different sensitivities, which demands an optimization of the overall task. By applying three-dimensional simulations of the extrusion process, even across multiple process parameters, we can analyze these results through their process and optimization of parameters and geometries. Even a closed optimization of the processes and guide surfaces can be carried out by the simulation software.
